Summary: Glory Years - It's A Winner
Review: This book gives a brief and entertaining story for each of the years that the Cardinals won the World Series. The best thing about this book is that it provides a great deal of history and a tremendous amount of statistics, but is still easy to read. I felt like an expert on team history once I finished the book. I would encourage anyone interested in improving their knowledge of the Cardinals and everyone who is a fan of the team to read this book.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Maybe the worst book ever
Review: This is quite possibly the worst book I've ever read. And this comes from a diehard St. Louis Cardinal fan who reads just about anything he can get his hands on.

First, the writing is terrible. Mr. Freese has a background in business and marketing, and it's apparent. The writing is dull and trite, and while reading I found myself wishing that someone would bludgeon me with a fungo stick to put me out of my misery.

Second, it's almost like this book wasn't even edited. Grammatical and typographical errors abound, making the book that much harder to wade through. I find it hard to believe that a professional publishing company could do this poor of a job with a manuscript. Maybe I'll apply for a proofreading job there.

If you're a St. Louis Cardinal fan like me, look elsewhere for entertaining reading. Having Stan Musial's photo on the front of this book is a disgrace to The Man.
