Review: Lurecraft is the definitive book on making one's own spincasting lures. Most fishing books focus on fly fishing and creating flys. This book focuses on making wooden lures - from a block of wood through a finished lure. You begin by shaping wood blanks into the forms needed for a spincasting lure. The book then guides you through weighting, painting, wiring, and adding hooks. You end up with a one-of-a-king, usable, believable, working lure. The only potential issue one may have with this book is that it requires a decent level of proficiency in painting (a difficult skill that I have not mastered). This not withstanding, if you are interested in making your own lures as a hobby, this is the book for you
