Summary: Unfortunately, not very good.
Review: I picked up this book expecting a lot more. It has some Okay photos and descriptions of techniques but no real insight into Hapkido. I think this may be because Mr. Sims in only a 3rd Degree Black Belt and in Hapkido that is not yet Full Instructor level -- for that you have to be at least 4th Dan. I do not mean to criticize him for his effort, it is just that the deeper understanding of the art is missing. I hope this helps...

Summary: Step by Step Workbook for Hapkido Study
Review: The book encourages the student to 'Write in this book.' The student is expected to actively particpate in learning, not just repeat what he/she has been told to do. This interactive structured notebook approaches the teaching of Hapkido from an academic perspective. This allows for a student-focused/user friendly format that lets the student organize concepts and ideas. As with any workbook, you have to see it to really understand how it works. This is a good idea, try it, you will like it!
