Summary: sloppy work
Review: The guy who wrote this obviously isn't a true Bama or Auburn fan. Too many small factual errors, and its obvious that some of his write-ups were based purely on the box stats rather than having watched the game or even talked to someone who saw it. For example, he writes about Auburn's 31-27 win in 1996 without mentioning the late Alabama drive that almost won the game on the last play. He also doesn't seem to have paid much attention to these two teams generally. For example, he writes that Bama beat Tennessee in 2000, and ended the year 5-6, when my beloved Tide lost to the Vols and ended a miserable 3-8. I saw similar mistakes about Auburn's history. But it is a comprehensive review of the entire series, and it has a summary at the end showing the scores of all Bama and Auburn games from the 19th century through 2000. I can't recommend buying it, but if you get it as a gift, like I did, its worth flipping through.

Summary: A good reference book on the greatest rivalry
Review: This book combines information on each Alabama-Auburn game with pictures and information from the teams' seasons. A glaring error, though: Alabama's record going into the 2000 game was given as 5-5! Alabama fans (like me) wish it had been that instead of 3-7! Can we get an insert chapter for Alabama's 31-7 victory in 2001?

Summary: Fans from either school would like it.
Review: We're a mixed household--I went to Bama and my bruh went to, well, that other school. He gave me this book for my birthday cause its just about the only thing we can agree on--the Iron Bowl is always the most intense flat-out game of the season. This book has a lot of great pictures and the ones from way back are as great as the new ones--guys with those rubber nose guards (their only equipment!) and WOOL jerseys. Plus, there was a lot of history--esp. about the long period when Bama and Auburn didn't play that was really interesting. Everybody is my law firm is getting a copy for Christmas. If they went to Auburn, I'll help them with the big words.
