Summary: Interesting but hard to implement
Review: As way of background, I'm an adult female soccer player who started playing 4 years ago as an adult. I play on a women's (C-level) team and a co-ed rec team. I'm not a naturally fast runner, which is why I bought this book.

The frame-by-frame action sequences of running and cutting are informative. You can see what the players are doing--both right and wrong. Unfortunately, when it comes to figuring out what you are doing right (or wrong) it is hard to figure that out using this book. I don't think it is the fault of the author. A book just may not be the correct medium to convey this information. (The author does plug his own training company as a resource for doing this kind of analysis.)

The exercises seem useful. I haven't started doing many of them as we have just began our off season and that is when the doctor recommends much of the training to occur. Most of the strength training exercises require elastic tubes with bands or gym machines.

You will have to be disciplined to use this book on your own. For me, I think it would have been more effective to use the money that I spent on this book to go towards a personal trainer with sports conditioning training.
