Review: A no frills, but well researched book detailing the more embarassing, silly, or outrageous episodes in baseball history. There are chapters featuring drunks, worst trades, fights, you name it. Baseball history is full of these great stories and it is obvious that Mr Connor is an A+ student of this history. Even though there are no pictures or illustrations, he makes the stories come to life.

Review: I'm not a big baseball fan, but I found this book to be great fun anyway. Check out hte chapter on stupid things that players have said over the years--it will have you howling. Great fun for basbeall fans and trivia buffs.

Review: This isn't a book you take your time with -- it can be finished in a few hours and forgotten about not shortly after. The book is nothing more than a Top 10 list with a paragraph explaining each entry. The list covers trivia that goes from informative to hilarious to insightful to just strange -- subjects include Top 10 Politicians that played baseball, Top 10 Womenizers, Top 10 One Game Wonders, Top 10 Wild Pitchers, Top 10 Curses . . . . you get the idea. It's amusing enough and addictive. I'm surprised by how many friends have picked it up, read a few pages and then asked to borrow it.
