Review: This book doesn't go into great detail about specific marques or engines, and isn't heavy into technical drawings or comparisons, and won't tell you how to win at Palm Beach, but if you're weighing the pros and cons of buying and restoring a British sports car and want to know what you're in for, this is the book for you. The author walks the neophyte all the way from choosing the right car to maintaining his or her finished beauty, and doesn't pull many punches. It was the first book I bought after I got my '67 MGB GT, and I still refer to it, if only for the pleasant writing style and as food for the daydreams I still have about finding that '63 E-type.
