Rating: Summary: WRESTLEMANIA ROCKS!! Review: I loved this book it ruled! If there was a 6 star rating and I would choose 6 and Wrestlemania 1-2000 (16) execpt there was only a promo for Wrestlemania 2000(16) I wish they showed Wrestlemania 2000's Fatal 4 way elimination match other than that read the book and watch the DVD and you'll know enough abot WWFE WRESTLEMANIA
Rating: Summary: WWF History Lesson Review: If WWF's Wrestlemania was a college course, this would be the required text! Great photos and writing make this an entertaining and informative read! It's great that this has been documented for history and in ten years they should do a companion book. Two let downs about this book: #1 It comes with a Dvd video. I only have VHS, so I guess I will have to wait to when I an forced into purchasing a Dvd player. It's kind of presumptous of the publishers to assume everyone has a dvd player.#2 I follow wrestling pretty close and know much of the "inside scoop", and this was written clearly from an "event-based" point of view, not from how it really happened.I guess the writer wanted to steer clear of any of the "backstage politics" and just cover the historical events that took place.Which is great, not everyone wants to know all that stuff. Bottom line, this book is great and should be purchased by any wrestling fan. It is a testimony of how great the WWF is and has been and will continue to be!
Rating: Summary: Average Review: It does come with a DVD, which features the highlights of each of the WrestleMania Main-Events, but the book itself is average, in my view. It does have some funny and entertaining stories about the backstage planning and all of the time and care that went into each one. It did have some pretty good pictures, but, as I said, it really only focuses on the Main-Event of each annual event. I wish it also talked about the other matches at the events, and not just the main ones. It's average, and nothing better, in my opinion. The DVD features: -Insightfrom Howard Finkel and Pat Patterson on some of the WM's -A huge highlight reel of the incredible Bret/HBK Iron Man Match (why'd Bret ever have to get [messed] over by McMahon? He was one of the WWF's greatest champions, ever) -A lot of the Bret/Austin Submission Match -A highlight reel of Austin vs. HBK -Most of HBK vs. Razor at X -Highlights from Bigelow/Taylor & Diesel/HBK -Highlight reel of Rock/Austin at 15 -A lot of Hogan's last hurrah when he defeated Yokozuna for the WWF Title -The last five or so minutes of Hogan vs. Slaughter, along w/ a video package highlighting their feud -Clips from the feud leading up to Flair vs. Savage, along w/ a lot of Flair vs. Savage at WM If you have some spare change, I guess it's a good buy for the DVD, but, other than that, it's average.

Rating: Summary: This is The greatest Wrestling book ever!! Review: This book is a coffeetable format book that is enclosed with a two hour DVD that captures the rich pageantry and pomp, hype and media coverage that surrounds the WWF's biggest annual yearly showcase, Wrestlemania. (...) After all I have seen Total Sports encyclopaedias which are much heavier and more comprehensive, sans high gloss paper and virtually no pictures sell for the same price. This book is a collectors' item, and I realize the DVD is part of the reason the book is priced the way it is, but I haven't had the opportunity to view the DVD yet, since I don't own a DVD player, but I plan to view it next month or in January, since I have a friend who has one. This book is an illustrated history of Wrestlemania, along with descriptions of the matches themselves and a concise capsule summary of what occurred during each one. If you're a WWF fanatic, then you're probably going to want to get this. If you're more interested in the business in general, you might be more hesitant to pick up a copy. Honestly, I think the WWF should reduce the retail price of the book to make it more accessible to their target audience, since the pro wrestling audience is basically young males, and most of them don't make a great deal of money until later in their life. It's true females watch pro wrestling, but the majority of pro wrestling fans are still likely male. This book is more about a celebration of the event itself, and I consider it more of a tribute type of book.
Rating: Summary: Another great book hits the shelf! Review: This book is great! If you like books like this you'll like: The Rock Says, If They Only Knew(Chyna), or A Tale Of Blood and Sweatsocks(mick foley). Better than the book: the DVD! i dont have a dvd player but i went to my friends house and we watched it there! It's got great matches like: A Battle Royal with NFL superstars v.s WWF superstars, and Andre the Giant v.s Hulk Hogan, and Stone Cold v.s The Rock, and Stone Cold v.s Bret Hart and Stone Cold v.s Shawn Micheals (a whole lot of sotne cold matches eh?) and Lawrence Taylor v.s Bam Bam Bigalow and its got interviews with people like: Vince McMahon, Pat Patterson, Gerald brisco. More matches: Bret Hart vs. Yokozuna and Hulk Hogan v.s Yokozuna and the first Wrestlemania Main Event: Mr. T and Hulk Hogan v.s Paul Ordnoff and Rowdy Roddy Piper and a special boxing match with Mr. T defeating Rowdy Roddy Piper because the Rowdy One did a wrestling move on Mr. T and the DVD also shows how the Fatal Four Way Elimination Match got together. I found out that when Linda McMahon made Mick Foley to compete in it Stephanie slapped her. It's got a really nice DVD and the Book has sweet pictures like: Undertaker and actor Jonathon Taylor Thomas and Andre the Giant with Stephanie McMahon. Youll love this book and DVD!
Rating: Summary: Sweet, but costly Review: This costs WAY more than it should, as it read extremely quick but is damn good while it lasts. Nice big pictures too, with the DVD a crowning touch, though the 16 entry leaves lots to be desired as the segment is merely a promo for the already-occured-a-year-prior event.
Rating: Summary: WRESTLEMANIA - NICE TRIP IN THE NOSTALGIA RING Review: Wrestlemania: The Official Insider's Story is a nice coffee table book for old-school fans of wrestling. For new fans of wrestling or the uninitiated this is an indespensable book that gives a great look at matches of the past. The price is a bit steep so I'd definately recommend getting it at a large discount price but it does come with two products - book and DVD. THE BOOK - THE GOOD The pictures are outstanding and nicely capture the feel for each of the Wrestlemanias. The large crowd shots are awesome! However, it would have been nice to see pictures from all of the matches as I found myself forgetting the names/looks of many of the wrestlers from the 80's. THE BOOK - THE BAD It's not all that indepth. The main event of each Wrestlemania is covered and for several there is a brief overview of some of the "dark horse" matches. But, I was looking for more of an "INSIDE" scoop on these matches and these events. It would also have been nice to cover who won and who lost in each match...how hard is it to underline a winner? THE DVD - THE GOOD It's entertaining and offers quick glimpses of each event. It really wets your appetite to go down to the video store and rent the entire show. THE DVD - THE BAD They could get a little more indepth in all the events. How hard is it to show collage clips for each match? Overall this is a decent book if you enjoy "EYE CANDY". If you're looking for the inside scoop then I'd recommend Mick Foley's books first.
