Rating: Summary: A tek diver must! Review: Gary Gentile takes an informal, even close to conversational approach in tackling technical diving. Pretty interesting chapter on tanks which is not found in other techncial diving books. A lot of colored photos and illustrations that prod you to read on ... If you're not yet into technical diving or considering to get into tek, this is the book for you.
Rating: Summary: Don't waste time reading this, buy the book ! Review: Great, like all other Gary's books !
Rating: Summary: Exteremely informative! Review: I found this book to be very informative. The author discusses the various features of dive gear, but remains brand neutral, in fact, not a single preferred brand was mentioned in the book. Techniques for expedition diving and a thorough explaination of the different types of rebreathers were also covered. I've read the book several times and I learn something new everytime I pick it up.

Rating: Summary: Not only dangerous but misleading Review: I was very disappointed with this book. Not only does Mr. Gentile support and recommend practices and equipment that have been found to not only be dangerous, but also fatal. Anyone who is really interested in pursuing technical diving is well advised to steer completely clear of this book. Save your money and get the book Doing it Right - The fundamentals of better diving. That will set the proper foundation for the pursuit of technical diving

Rating: Summary: Real technical diving Review: I've read some of Gary's other work and I've benifited from them all. This book really tells you how to rig your gear which is what you need to know, not theory or only one way being right. If you want to Tec dive or just want to know about it ,this book is for you.
Rating: Summary: EXPLAINS HOW TO GO TECH... THE RIGHT WAY. Review: This book is a must for those who are looking foward to switch form recreational diving to technical diving and a usefull tool as quick referance for expierianced tech.divers. Topics are covered with photographic illustrations in practical situations which helps the reader to gain new practical techniques. It does'nt replace the proper training needed to any level, but it gives the reader an explanation from the practical point of view which is very important.
