Summary: A Simple Approach to Learning the Golf Swing
Review: After reading the book, I went out to the range and hit shot after shot with solid contact and pretty good accuracy. I am a 20 handicap and could not seem to make solid contact. I thought that it was a fluke, so I went back to the range the next day and again hit the ball solidly. I hope to take it to the course next week. Some of the body movements are out of date but the idea of swinging the club is still way ahead of it's time compared to present teaching.

Summary: Pure Ernest Jones Regardless of Title
Review: Ernest Jones wrote two books. They are as follows: "Swinging into Golf" and "Swing the Clubhead and Cut Your Golf Score". "Swing The Clubhead" was a reprint done by Golf Digest as part of there Classic Series. Jones's teachings revolved around his thesis that by swinging the clubhead rather than worrying about what all the body parts were supposed to do would provide the straightest and fastest path to a golfer reaching his or her potential. I suggest all you critics of the title of this book take a look at the publishers statement in the editorial review of this book. I want to personally thank the publisher for making available to the masses this timeless classic.

Summary: Best Golf Book Ever!
Review: Ernest Jones's teachings revolved around his thesis that by swinging the clubhead rather than worrying about what all the body parts were supposed to do would provide the straightest and fastest path to a golfer reaching his or her potential.
Jones employed a pocketknife tied to a handkerchief to explain the feel of the proper action. Swing the hands and the knife follows. But try to apply what Jones called "leverage," fighting centrifugal force, and the knife remains still and is then "pulled" into motion.
I taught golf for several years and this was the first lesson I would convey to my students. Once the feeling of the swing was grasped I would then go on to the other fundamentals.
While other books mention the concept of generating centrifugal force in the golf swing, this is the only book I'm aware of that is devoted entirely to learning how to acquire the feeling of doing so and the importance of learning it to develop a sound and repetitive golf swing.
Follow the advice and do the drills in this book and your golf swing will improve.

Summary: Finally broke 80!!!!!!!
Review: I can't say enough about what this book did for my golf game. I've been struggling in the in the mid 80's for years and finally broke the 80 barrier with a 78!
Bought the book about 3 1/2 months ago and have been working with the idea of just focusing on the drills and thinking of swinging the clubhead - leaving mechanics to take care of themselves.
All I can say is what Ernest Jones teaches works! And it works for the average player who hasn't spent 5 hours a day for ten years working on his swing.
Give this book a try and really try to implement what it teaches and you will get better. The lesson it contains is subtle, but when you get it, you'll only be thinking of where you want the ball to go and swinging the clubhead.

Summary: this book is _NOT_ "Swing the Clubhead"
Review: I don't know how the publisher got away with this, but this book is NOT "Swing the Clubhead"! I have a copy of Swing the Clubhead and was thinking about buying this paperback version for a friend, but noticed that the Table of Contents is completely different! So is the Excerpt! You can find the real version of Swing the Clubhead on Amazon by looking up ISBN 0405093683 or 0914178911. What a scam - Amazon shouldn't even be listing this version.

Summary: Swing the Clubhead!!!
Review: I have tried a lot of things and read dozens of books but nothing has been as productive as the three words-Swing the Clubhead. The more clearly I was able to feel the swinging of the clubhead, the better my shots.

Summary: Johnny Merrill
Review: IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BOOK TO BETTER YOUR GOLF GAME....... STOP LOOKING-- BUY THIS BOOK!!! Swing the Clubhead is the book of all books for the golfer wanting to improve. You cannot add anything to your swing if you do not know how to just swing the clubhead. Best golf book of all time and I have read most of them.

Summary: Classic Book Scam!!!!!
Review: The publisher represents this book as being Ernest Jones' Swing the Clubhead, but this is a blatant lie! This is a reprint of another Ernest Jones book entitled, Swinging Into Golf. Swinging Into Golf is also a great book but is not as well known or sought after. So why not tell the truth? This is not Ernest Jones' Swing the Clubhead and I am disappointed that it is being advertised as such. Skylane Publishing scores a triple bogey!!!
