Review: Netherton's History of Casting is a superb book. I orderedthree which I received yesterday and I'm going to order additionalcopies today. What a wonderful book. I was a former tournament caster, but I don't think you need to be a tournament caster to enjoy this. The reprinted articles are amazing...some of the fly casting distances 90 years ago are unvbelievable since they didn't have the tackle we have today. I learned a lot. It's for anyone who cares about the past, and how casting evolved...the tackle ads are particularly interesting. Great book for anyone's library, even though it"may not tell you how to catch more fish..."
