Summary: Conquering the world's highest mountains
Review: Stefano Ardito's Peaks of Glory: Climbing the World's Highest Mountains is a breath-taking book. If you are a lounge chair mountain climber, like myself, this out of print book is a must have addition to your coffee table collection. The photos in this over-sized book are stunning, the maps informative, and the quotes range from witty, to horrifying, to insightful.

Ardito provides an interesting, if somewhat Eurocentric history of mountain climbing and the world's most challenging mountains.

My recommendation to you is to settle into your lounge chair, strap on your crampons, and enjoy summiting the world's highest mountains with Stefano Ardito.
