Review: If you have been awaiting another stellar effort by Art Lee as long as I have, Lore of Trout Fishing is a jewel on all counts. As with Fishing Dry Flies, Mr. Lee combines everything that a lover of trout and the fly could appreciate between the covers. He truly loves everything about this experience - that is evident. His pictures are of an art that will keep your memory dancing on a December evening; his tactics are solid, not gimmicky as with some others; his anecdotes entertain; and he gladly discusses so many finer points that one feels the wide range of his experience. This book will be treasured over and over by a lover of trout and the fly - especially those who know of the storied Catskill streams that weave throughout this collection. Newcomers will find it so informative, but it may take years for them to feel the texture of his pictures and recollections.
