Review: I appreciate Thomas for sharing his story because it was inspiring, uplifting, and genuinely helpful. This book helped me to understand addictive behavior and the consequences and also provided positive suggestions for changing such behavior. The suggestions for change were not just related to drug addiction but can be applied to any troubled area in life. Most people in today's world are going through some of the experiences talked about in this book, or they are experiencing them through a friend or loved one. As I read this book, there were times I laughed and times I cried with Thomas and for him and for all of us because we can all relate in one way or another to his journey. I want to thank Thomas. Not only did this book help me in deciding how best to help my loved one, it also helped me see my own life in a new way. I thank God for choosing Thomas to help those who need the kind of help he is providing through his books, tapes, and personal appearances. He genuinely cares and it shows. I think this is love in its highest form. Thomas Henderson is a bright light shining to show the way out of the dark world of addictive behavior. His message is one of hope to all who read this book. May God keep him and continue to give him courage and strength to walk the blessing way.

Review: I have read numerous books on drug addiction because my son is an addict, and I found "In Control" to be a must read for anyone involved in this. The book is so informative and well-written that I had a hard time putting it down. Thomas Henderson really shares his amazing story about the destruction that drugs did to his life, but even more inspiring was the challenges he went through to achieve sobriety and all of the good he gave back to his community. Summary: Simply put, a feel good book.
Review: I have read other reviews suggesting that this book is great for alcoholics, drug addicts, or people who know of those with such problems. I'm not sure that does this book justice. I think this book is a great read for everyone, regardless of whether they have a problem or know of someone that does. It is a rags to riches story, not once, but twice. The first time the riches are monetary. The second time it is much more meaningful as the riches are not monetary in nature. Rather the riches are obtaining personal fulfillment not only in one's own happiness but also in helping others. This book will move many to tears. It inspires and challenges the reader to look inside themselves and at those around them and to pursue a path to improvement.

In my opinion, Thomas is an exceptional individual. He is blessed with the courage to admit his mistakes, the want to fix them, the desire to stay the course, and the unbelievable unselfishness to help others as he has helped himself. Most impressive is his modesty as it seems that Thomas doesn't even recognize the impact his actions (including this book) have on those whose life he touches.

I think Thomas knows he's a lucky man in many respects, but the reader can also appreciate that his path has not been easy. Some in Thomas's shoes cry that they are a victim more than a villain. Thomas makes no such claims. He holds himself accountable for his actions in the same way that he holds himself responsible for his recovery. He doesn't do it alone and along the way he acknowledges many that have helped him. In his book and seemingly in his life, he takes nothing for granted, and looks for no credit. Quite frankly he should be an inspiration to us all. His book has changed my view on how I treat myself and those around me. How many of us can makes similar claims of books we have read recently? Quite frankly a must read for anyone.

Review: In Control is without a doubt one of the if not the best book that I have ever read. It is a hard book to put down once you get started. Mr. Hendrson knows how to get the message of addiction across. Whether you or someone that you know has been touched by any form of addiction, I suggest that you get this book for them and if it is you who is suffering get it for yourself. Mr. Henderson truly shows us that no one is beyond help. If you are looking for a book that will truly make a difference let me suggest IN CONTROL By Thomas Henderson, read it now.

Review: My thanks are extended to Mr. Henderson for writing a book that is easy to read and appeals to young and old. A cloudy mind can read and understand his message of hope and help. The presentation of his life in this book is not too heavy, it has the perfect measure of reality and seriousness. I believe this book will reach a significant number of men and women who might have picked up a book for help and found it to be impenetrable. I have even given it as a Christmas present. I consider it a text book for self-help and recommend it for anyone who has a loved one suffering through an addiction.

Review: This book isn't for anyone. I would say this book is for everyone. Just about everyone I know, has a family member or close friend who should take the time to read this very informational book. I attend Al-Anon meetings and this book fits perfectly into my program. I've always wondered since reading "Out Of Control" what was going on in Thomas Henderson's life. Now I know. I have read books that I thought I couldn't put down until I was finished. This is a book you have to stop reading from time to time, just to think about what you have read, highlight some profound paragraphs or just go back and review it, to make sure you retain it. One review said it makes you laugh and it can make you cry. That is the gospel truth. This book is going to be a great Xmas present for some people very close to me. When Thomas played football, I was a devout Steeler Fan. I am still today a Steeler Fan and a Thomas Henderson Fan also. Five stars and one word sums up this book. Ne plus ultra!!!

Review: Those observations given by Mr.Henderson inside "In Control" could be used as an anchor by the majority of many of generation of addicts,past and future. With so many people of all ages either struggling or suceeding daily with recovery, it is a must to have a focal grounding point to keep one to their desire of wholesome living. The disease of addiction is a corner that is hard to turn, but with a high profile (no pun) individual relating a tale of victory,many folks can benefit from absorbing Thomas's words.
I didn't read "Out of Control" however I am glad that I read this book first. I have my own tale of debauchery and dependence and I find much wisdom in his book.
