Rating: Summary: Babe's a true outdoorsman who shares what he's learned here. Review: I first read this book many years ago when it first came out. It is one of my favorite bass fishing books of all time. I still skim through it.A true outdoorsman from the old In-Fisherman gang, Babe Winkleman gives you a different perspective than that of the run-and-gun tournament crowd. Babe writes a lot about his fishing experiences in remote northern lakes, and he gives you honest and personal insights into what he learned about bass and the bass fishing techniques he uses to catch them. Babe covers successful "patterns" starting right after ice-out and progressing through summer, fall and winter. Patterns in fishing are combinations of what the fish are doing at any given moment combined with the angling techniques they will find most receptive at that point in time. Kind of like a matching of bass biology/habits and fishing tactics. Some good stuff here that you rarely find written elsewhere. I suggest you add this one to your library. You will enjoy it over the years.
