Rating: Summary: Wonderful stories of whitetail deer hunting Review: This is definately one of the best books about hunting the whitetail deer I have read in a long time. Very refreshing. If you are looking for a how to kill a big buck book, this is not it. However, if you want to read a book that transports you to your favorite whitetail haunts this is for you. I found myself not only remembering vividly past hunts but also the feeling of those hunts and the characters involved. This books helps get us in touch with answers to the age old question - Why do we hunt? What makes hunting so special? Don't get the impression this is a heavy philsophical read, it isn't. Just a lot of fun. A truly great and entertaining book.
