Rating: Summary: Don't laugh, this one has it all. Review: Everyone jokes that Army manuals are written for dummies. Well guess what, when it comes to marksmanship and the M16 most folks are dummies. If you own an AR15 this is the one "must have" on the list, especially if you never received any serious (Army Infantry, Marine 03) military training on the weapon. It's got it all, ballistics, operation, function, maintenance, and characteristics. It covers all phases of marksmanship, basic, advanced, and field. If you absorb this knowledge combined with that in the -10 Operators Manual (available online) you will have a solid skill set and be a force of reckoning when using your AR. Don't bother ordering other manuals that so often turn out to be direct photo copies of the one true book, order the real deal Hollyfield. I've only rated this one 3 stars because I know there are better AR manuals out there but for sheer ease of reading (lots of pictures and small words) this book has the others beat. Remember, most grunts coming into the Army these days have NO experience with firearms let alone select fire rifles. If that describes you then this is your book.
