Rating: Summary: When you're not actually on the stream... Review: While reading never replaces the pleasures of actually getting off your duff and getting onto a stream, this book comes close to being as good as it gets. I enjoyed the personable way that Wetherell takes you along fishing with him. Rather than impressing you with pontifications he lets you into his world and has no shame to say that the fishing experience leaves him "breathless and shaking". His love of the natural world and his passion to preserve it are infectious. You cannot read this book without the realization that this world of fishing is a delicate balance and we'd do well to pay attention to the forces that would destroy it. In the end this is a book that is hard to put down and though it is a thin volume it has a very large impact. Make sure you have a book light handy lest you invoke the wrath of your spouse by reading into the wee hours.
