Summary: tips to take or leave
Review: Fly-Tying Tips & Reference Guide is a useful reference, providing tips on how to use unconventional materials in your fly tying. I bought it, and read it cover to cover fairly shortly thereafter. I found a lot of seemingly useful tips and ideas.

As a source of ideas, it's a good read. As a reference, it suffers a bit because the author organizes tips into only broad categories. Fortunately, it's not encyclopedic, so the tips are fairly easy to find again when you need them.

I think this book is probably most useful for beginning to novice fly tyers who are just finding their tying voice and seeking creative and cost-effective ways to improve their craft.
