Rating: Summary: Be careful , you'll want packgoats... Review: This is a great read whether you own goats or are just curious! Mionczynski's years of astute observation, training and use of pack goats can catapult you years ahead in raising and training your own herd... or at least make you roll out of your chair laughing at the caprious caprines you'll meet throughout the book. After reading this book several years ago, my husband and I jumped right into packgoating, despite minimal prior livestock experience. With Mionczynski's book as our primary resource, our herd has grown to 12 -- all well-mannered, happy and healthy. To those of you past your backpacking prime, here's a great way to keep getting into the remote country you love without breaking your back or knees or shoulders or... And you'll have some wonderful four-legged friends in the backyard between hikes.
