Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Dated, Superficial, and Lacking References
Review: As the disclamer notes "The procedures in this book are presented _for information purposes only._" The author specifically notes in the concluding pages that he has left out information in an effort to prevent the book's misuse by criminals. Anyone actually attempting to use this book for reference or for practical purposes should take those two disclamers to heart.

Readers should also note the copyright date (now 12 years old) and note the significant changes in criminal procedure and practices in the past decade. Tests that were too expensive for a routine investigation in 1992 are often cheaper, easier, and much more common now.

Some of the advice is likely to increase a prospective reader's chances of getting caught. Very useful generic advice, such as never waiving one's Miranda rights or consenting to a search are not even mentioned. As a reference work, it utterly lacks any footnotes, endnotes, or even recommended reading or indication of the author's creditials in crime scene investigation.

Summary: Should be Banned!
Review: Caring for your own dead is a nice idea, but too hard for most people. Yes, you can make your own arrangements, but actually caring for the dead takes education and skill, especially dealing with a decomposing body.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Save Your Life
Review: Has anyone ever been in this position? The author does a great job of explaining what to do if this ever occures. Anyone who does not give this author credit for the courage it took to write this book needs to SHUT UP!!!!! Could you tell someone what to do if someone tried to kill them or their family? Well he did and I think he is not a psyco. Everyone needs to read this book just to say you have the knowedge to protect youself. If you kill someone in self defense most likely you will get manslaughter and that is a felony that will go on your record FOR LIFE!!! Just remember that when you read this book.

Summary: great book, good info. worked for me...so far
Review: I killed someone and disposed of the body as per this book. I have not been caught yet!

I'll probably do it again soon.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I really thought there would be more to this book. The author has a lot of good ideas about how to kill someone and then hide the body, but I find more information on TV. It really has given me anything I really did not know. You get the feeling the author used to be involved in the mafia or something, but I don't even think he was that sophisticated. All in all, I'll say this book lacked depth and disappointed. Perhaps I was seduced by the title -- after all, how many books of this type are there -- but that was it.

Summary: Great Book
Review: The point of this book was to slam the criminal justice system in America for persecuting innocent people who defend themselves from violent criminals like Bernie Goetz did and was.

I think the author never meant his book to be used seriously, he meant the shocking premise to be a troan horse to get his views on the criminal justice system aired. He meant the book to be a call for people to demand the system stop punishing people who kill violent criminals to avoid being victimized by them.

Summary: People don't get it...
Review: The point of this book was to slam the criminal justice system that persecutes innocent people who defend themselves. I bet the author never meant for anyone to use this book to actually dispose of a dead body, I think the premise was a trojan horse to get his views on the criminal justice system aired.

He states several times the point of the book is to defend the public from unjust prosecution, like Bernhard Goetz was subjected to. He was really trying to make the point that the justice system is a threat to innocent citizens who've been forced to kill a criminal rather than be killed by him.

Get a clue, people...

Summary: Great Book
Review: This book is a great read , very funny and informative
It goes into clear detail about the nature of a corpse
and the process of its decay , I give it 4 stars
it would be 5 if the book was a little longer and went into
a little more detail.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: I (ER..) NEEDED IT TO GET RID OF MY NEIGHBOURS DOG!
Review: This is a real niche market book, and hence that already means it should get a good rating because their are no real substitute's available.

It goes into good detail and practical ways of corpse disposal (but many of them are not really humane, like you'd [care,]... if you needed this book ha ha). I was suprised at the availabilty of this book and the freedom with which the writer writes with (he must have had some experience or watched a hell of a lot of movies).

If you are a gangster or a serial killer you'll probably know all the 'tricks of the trade' and then some but for the first timer or the accidental (i didn't know the gun was loaded) killer this is where its at.

It goes into how to conceal corpses in grave-yards (the hardest but the best way), drowning corpse's (remember decomposition gases bloat the body after 3 or 4 days making it pop up to the surface so tie a 50/60 pound weight onto it and puncture any major organs to let gases escape). It also goes on about preparing a corpse, tidying up after the scene and Burning it, so if this is your new career direction this is the ultimate handbook. Luckily there are no recommendations from famous experienced murders because they have been caught, now what kind of message would that send out to prospective buyers...
