Summary: African-American contribution to martial arts in the US
Review: This is an excellent source for the unknown contributions to African-Americans in martial arts. Sensei Hinton showcases individual martial artists and shows how it fits in the big picture in bringing martial arts into American Pop culture.
Another source that discusses the African influences in martial arts in general is "African Presence in Early Asia" Edited by Ivan Van Sertima.
Thanks and enjoy.
