Rating: Summary: An actual patient Review: Although I have not yet purchased this book (I am right now!) I have become a huge believer as of today. I left St Vincent's hospital less than 6 hours ago after Dr. Feldman performed Shoulder Arthroscopy on me to help correct a repetitive injury.I did not even know he was a writer as well, until EVERY HOSPITAL STAFF MEMBER commented to me how he is truly the best in the business from New York. I feel truly lucky and blessed that I found the perfect surgeon to help me heal. Once I finish reading the book, I will write a review on more than just the man's skills & helpful insight.
Rating: Summary: Not bad Review: He's good at putting medical terminology is plain English, and the muscle diagrams are very clear. But he doesn't cover all areas of the body, and seems to cover only common aliments. The appendices are very good, and the rehab exercises are very easy to understand. But the rest of the book is hard to sort through. For more detail, I prefer 'The Sports Medicine Bible' by Lyle Micheli.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: Overall the book is great. However he does not indicate if his rehab exercises should be done even if they cause pain.
Rating: Summary: user friendly Review: This book has an extremely tender bedside manner; it manages to be both intelligent and humorous without condescension. A well-written guide.
