Rating: Summary: This book reminds me why I love running Review: I started this book on an airplane and couldn't put it down. In this book, Joe Henderson has written and collected stories of George Sheehan's life and passion... running. I was struck by how much I could relate, as a recreational runner, to the experiences, thoughts, and struggles of another runner. Joe Henderson takes you from laughing at your own competitiveness to quietly weeping at the shared joy of being able to compete at all. His deep friendship with Dr. Sheehan (a running icon) is woven through every chapter. As you read, you are reminded that relationships are the true reward of life. You vow to appreciate the people in your life who help you dream, and who willingly prop you up to face each day as it comes. I highly recommend this book.
