Rating: Summary: Strikes out Review: I never finished it. I wanted to read a story of Pete Rose's suspension from baseball and instead got a history of Giamatti's life.If you aren't a diehard, you may want to give this one a miss.
Rating: Summary: Very interesting book Review: The book is an interesting biography of two very different people. Pete Rose is a real jerk. The guy could play baseball, but that's it. As a person, he is a jerk. As least he will never get into the baseball hall of fame. If Pete Rose got into that sacred place, it would be a shame.
Rating: Summary: Who cares about Bart Giamatti?????? Review: Who cares about the life and history of a truely worthless human being. He didnt to anything special except to to become "infamous" for banning one of the best baseball players frome the game for life. If Pete had a drinking or drug addiction they would have suspended in 6 or so games and paid for him to get the help he needed. But what this scumbag Bartlett do---he banned him for life. A disgraceful unforgivable act. If any one should have his name removed from baseball and banned from any type of accolades it is truely A. Bartlet Giamatti. The hell with him and his family trying to honour his memory for what?? He dererves NOTHING. what goes around comes around and Bartlet got just what he deserved and thats Exactly what he deserved- and thats Exactly where i like Him---SIX FEET UNDER. and hopefully in an unmarked grave. To sum up Giamatti he is Dispicable.
