Summary: Jim's a mountaineer - not a writer.
Review: I admitt that I've know Jim for several years and while the writing is coarse, it does describe a very unique feeling and presense about being in the Adirondack Mountains that only he could describe. For ten bucks, it's a deal. Better yet call him and go hiking with him.

Summary: weird but cool
Review: I bought it used in a book store in Tupper Lake. This is a weird book, all over the place, especially the letters in the back. I couldn't stop reading it though - it's small so you can finish it in one sitting. I met him in Maine on the AT, again kind of weird but ok. First time I ever had Bully Hill Space Shuttle White.

Summary: A Fun Book :)
Review: I like this little book, and it fits nicely in your pack. I did Street and Nye last year - I hated every minute of it. :O

Summary: Into the Adirondacks - Great read !
Review: If you like bagging peaks in winter - this is it. If you've been there, the context is very familiar.

Summary: Highly recommended for people who love the outdoors.
Review: Jim Poulette's Hemingway-esque prose delievers us to a place of great beauty, danger and friendship. He mingles adventure with reminders for conservation. "Into the Adirondacks" captivates and teaches us about the awesome power of nature, but also of its fragility. It subtly questions our outdoor ethics and why we came to the mountains in the first place. A must read for Adirondack enthusiasts, mountaineers and people who love the outdoors.

Summary: Too Short - A great book!
Review: This was a real surprise! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in hiking, the Adirondacks, - or life. This little book is about a lot more then just mountains and people. Encore s'il vous plait!
