Summary: Chatty little tale about the Scandanavian people
Review: I was looking to experience the Artic Circle on a bicycle without leaving the comforts of my home. "Into Thin Air" is a perfect example of the potential of a true adventure. Instead I found the author mostly interested in describing a few of the travelers (many not from the Artic) he encountered. I would have loved to learn more about the actual cycling, the topography, culture and peoples of this stark and brutal land. Lots of potential not fully realized in this book.

Summary: Arctic bicycling at its best!
Review: Whoever thought anyone would ride a bicycle in the Arctic? Basch is a gifted writer and rider. He's the funniest guy on two wheels.
