This book has been around for quite a while, and for good reason. It is a fine, basic volume on fencing. I recommend it.

Summary: A good basic guide to the sport
Review: This is a clearly written basic introduction to Olympic-style sport foil fencing, with good illustrations. It is much more readable than most others, and is written for a U.S. audience. Foil is the weapon most often used to teach beginners, and though I am a sabre fencer I found this book very useful during my first year.
