Summary: great guide to fitness & life
Review: so many books out there rehash the basics: what exercises to do, how long to rest, what to eat..blah blah blah. this book covers these topics soundly - better than any i've come across - but does so much more. every week of the ten week program - geared for 3 different training levels - includes a section on motivation, how to resist the temptation to skip the gym and/or eating, how to build your will power and how to truly enjoy a healthy lifestyle. if you follow the 10 week program, your body and life will benefit immeasureably. the only downfall was that he doesn't show how to perform a couple of the exercises listed.

Summary: Feeling strong, being strong
Review: That is what this book is about. Granted I am only half way through the ten weeks, it is quite easy to tell that this program is working. My one complaint with this book is that there are a fair amount of exercises that you more or less just have to guess as to what they are, for no clear explination is given.

Review: The main reasons why people do not reach thier goals from bodybuilding to just being fit lack of knowledge, lifestyle/job and motivation. This book provides a step by step workout guide tailored from novice to expert. Its praticable and anyone with a little effort can achieve results. If your a beginner or been working out for 10 years and need a change i recommend this book. Its a great price too. GOOD LUCK

Summary: Somewhat Unrealistic
Review: The reason I am giving this book at least 2 stars is because Bob Paris' intentions are definitely good. However the workout routine seems to be somewhat intense and a lot of work for a gym routine. I fear that most people who follow this workout will give up before they reach their goal. Compared to some more recent workout books, this one seems somewhat outdated.

Summary: Excellent for someone looking for an all-around program
Review: This is a wonderful book for someone new to wt-lifting or just looking for a refresher on a new or varied program. I have lifted on and off for over 15 years and this book taught me some nice touches to add to my routine. I would recommend this book and suggest that you also pick up a book that delineates some of the more obtuse exercises listed.
