Summary: Useless book waste of money
Review: This book does not live up to it's name "encyclopedia"..only thing good about this book is the photos of various exercises.. everything else is horrible..there is no proper discussion of nutrition or any other aspects of bodybuilding...don't buy this book you will come to regret it

Summary: The very thing to help pump me up for workouts.
Review: This book has been the most imformative of any that I have read. Not only does Arnold give you key training tips, but nutrition tips as well. He even mentioned how to make a protien shake from scratch. I found that reading this book over and over helped me realize my everyday goal. Before my workout I would flip through the pages to the particular bodypart I was doing and get motivated just by looking at the pictures of certian poses. This is by far the best book on the over all needs in bodybuilding. Thanks for the help. Chris Ingersoll

Summary: From a healer and a bodacious beach babe gypsy shaman chick
Review: This book helped me great the kind of body I need. As one of the world's leading practioners of Two-Spirit Shamanism and Chi Gung, as well as being an author (Chi Gung: Chinese Healing, Energy, and Natural Magick), I've found that in my line of work it is vital that I built my body to it's peak perfection. I specialize in using the bodies energy (called Chi in Chinese) to help work with and heal plants, animals, and people. Using this energy (it is related to Tai Chi, Accupuncture and Yoga - and for those of you who lift weights, you could think of it as the pump - only in this case, you not only use it to build muscle but also to increase your health and to even heal others), I have successfully worked with cases involving migraines, insomnia, infertility, severe trauma, strokes, paralysis, and even ovarian cancer. By developing my body, I have been better able to help my Chi to flow so that I could use my skills in the life and death situations I am frequently faced with in my line of work. Arnold's book is wonderful and we are all very blessed to have such a man as a teacher, a role model, and an author.

Reading Arnold's book can change your life. It sure has changed mine. And with it, I've been able to make a difference in the lives of those who need help.

Summary: Great Book
Review: This book was the original motivator to get me into the gym in the early 90's. I recall sitting day in and day out reading and re-reading this book. While it might not be the most up-to-date, it still hits all the key areas. Let's face it, there are only so many different workouts you can do to hit a particular muscle. This book covers them all. Lacking in diet information should not sway your decision to purchase, as you can find in depth diet information from EAS for free. I lost the book and am finally ordering my second copy. Can't wait to start looking it over again.

Summary: Any questions about bodybuilding? This is your source.
Review: What I find most valuable about this book is that it provides you with almost every movement done in body building. This is especially helpful in learning how to do a particular movement correctly and without hurting yourself. Everything is explained and illustrated very well. True the nutrition side is lacking but as mentioned in other reviews but that is not the focus of the book.
