Summary: Notre Dame Missed the Boat
Review: This book_and Majerus_is a keeper. Finally, a coach who isn't afraid to be unconventional, but yet keep the important things in context: family, players, academics, basketball. i admire what he stands for, i enjoy his quirks, and I thought the book was wonderful. Notre Dame overreacted.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A well-told story of sweat and drive
Review: This is a book about a kid who had a dream about playing basketball. He didn't want to be a star, just on a team.

It is a book about a guy who got cut from his high school team, but still tried to get a spot on a Top-25 college basketball team.

It is a book about the rocky road to success. It describes how Rick Majerus climbed from organizing pick-up games on Milwaukee's playgrounds to coaching in the greatest spectacle in basketball, the NCAA Championship game.

Rick Majerus and Gene Wojciechowski do a great job of mixing first person narrative with humorous anecdotes from friends and colleagues to tell the story. If you love college basketball, or if you're pursuing a dream with sweat and passion, check out this book.

Summary: Not only is Majerus a great coach, he's hilarious!
Review: Very interesting book describing life of a fantastic college basketball coach. Humorous and informative. Enjoyed information on teams and players coached. Great behind-the-scenes information on college hoops. I would recommend to any college b-ball fan.

Summary: best hoops book i've read in years
Review: With the exception of feinstein's ``season on the brink'' and feinstein's book on the ACC, this is one of the best basketball books i've read in a long time. i've always been intrigued by majerus--how he wins at a place like utah--and this book takes you way inside the program and shows you how he does it. it's an autobiography, but it's also a great look at utah while it made it's final four run last season. majerus must have given the co-author a lot of access, because it's wonderful stuff. anyway, if you love hoops, you'll love this one. and i'm a carolina fan.
