Review: I thought Michael Oliver could not surpass the work in his epic, Lotus 49. Well, he has. The chassis documentation,race records, interviews and anecdotes with surviving Team Lotus members, and extensive photography (including many shots I had never seen) make this book a must have for any Formula 1 history maven and certainly anyone crazy about the late Team Lotus and Lotus cars in general. The book captures the genius of Colin Chapman, the last true innovator in Formula 1 race car design about a car that remained competitive for 5 seasons, unheard of these days.
