Rating: Summary: Not a useful book Review: Even though this book is inexpensive, I was very disappointed. Most of the moves are not true submissions. The neck cranks and chokes that are shown don't seem like they would work even on the untrained. The straight and bent armlock are covered, but nothing you haven't seen before. Bottom line: this book is cheap, but it will just take up space and collect dust in your apartment.
Rating: Summary: Great for improving your submission game. Review: I would definatly consider this a book for advanced grapplers. The book opens with Hatmaker giving his thoughts on workouts for NHB fighters, which is helpful, and then addresses something I had to discover the hard way: breath control! Remember, oxygen is your fuel, and Hatmaker and his drills make sure you don't burn it all up in the first moments of a match. He then has a short little chapter on the reason why you pull stuff into your chest, and then dives into submission chains. These chains follow a logical progression, and cover situations that can (and do) occure in a grappling situation. It's stuff like what to do when you've applied a hold and the guy does something unexpected to get out, and how you can use that new possition to continue your "submission chain". The only reason I don't give this book a full five stars is that it is oriented to a specific audience (folks who use submission grappling for sport, who know enough holds to be able to work the chains), and that the majority of the book, on the chains, is such a specific type of fighting. I would recomend not getting this book unless you have his first book, "No Holds Barred Fighting", unless you do submission grappling against upper-level competition, and you need to add something to your game.

Rating: Summary: More No Holds Barred Fighting: KIller Submissions Review: Mark Hatmaker for sure has a uniqie inside and experience when it comes to using grappling in a real fight or competition. The moves, strategies and training tips that I found in his books work and go well beyond traditional JuJitsu arsenal. If you are looking for an ultimate instruction guide look no further! Getting to know Mark's way of fighting helped me to become a better grappler. Grigory Mihovich
Rating: Summary: Better than the first Review: This book is ideal for someone who is looking to improve their game. Not only are the locks demonstrated but the reader is given plan B, plan C, etc. I have never competed in a match that started over after every blocked attempt. This book helps you understand where to go next. I would recommed this book to beginers and the more advanced students.

Rating: Summary: Killer Submissions Review: This book is one of the best MMA training guides that i have ever seen.It takes a logical chain approach to submission similar to a boxing combination.I would recommend this book to anyone interested in submission wrestling regardless of skill level. The detailed analisis of each movement was impressive and the corresponding pictures made it easy to learn.
Rating: Summary: Solid Submission text Review: This text adds to what was in the first book in that it shows more submissions in different positions.
It has an intro that gives some training tips.
The pictures and text were good enough for someone with experience. I think any physical activity requires a coach to learn it, so needless to say, this book should be read along with real training to get the most out of it.
The only thing that bugged ME about this text was its lack of leg locks. All the leg locks here were just variations of the heel hook.
