Rating: Summary: Great Book!!!!! Review: I thought that this book was very realistic. I believe that this book showed us the real side of Dennis Rodman. This book was extrordinary. Can't wait to read the next one "WALK IN THE WILD SIDE".
Rating: Summary: Run for the hills! Review: Isn't it against the law to write books this terrible? After reading this I can honestly saw that my opinion of him has taken a nose dive. Lets keep him on the court and away from pen & paper.
Rating: Summary: IMPRESSIVE!!! Review: I found the book very interesting and realized that Rodman is a human being :-) People do have different images of him, but after reading the book, I can see how Rodman has struggled in life. GO GET THEM DENNIS!
Rating: Summary: Highly entertaining, funny, truthful and bold! Review: I bought this book because I was curious. I'm amazed how he became a NBA superstar. It is truly remarkable that he could accomplish so much. It was very interesting to see how his sisters were the great basketball players and he wasn't into basketball that much. He was a late bloomer. I found the story of his adopted family, the Riches very interesting, considering the vast contrast. Rural, white Oklahomans meets an urban, black child who grew up in poverty. Unfortunately, there were other Oklahomans didn't welcome him because of racism. I found the story of the watchstealing very amusing from the point of the people who had to give them back after Dennis ripped them off. The colorful use of swearing, slang and other no-nos in publishing made the book very entertaining reading. I'm glad he presented all the facts, and he talked about his relationships with his ex-wife, Anicka and their daughter. His insight into NBA players, such as Karl Malone,John Stockton,Grant Hill,Michael Jordan, Grant Hill,Glenn Robinson,Shaquille O'Neal, the NBA in general and Commissioner Stern was very down to earth. I enjoyed the book, and recommend it to anyone who wants to be entertained and not be bored. It was anything but boring.
Rating: Summary: I Love Dennis Rodman!!! He is the Best!!!! Review: I think the reason that alot of people hate Dennis Rodman is because they don't understand him. I think that if people read this book it would help them understand him a little bit more than they do right now. They won't fully understand him because the only person that will fully understand him is himself.Anybody that treats Dennis bad can go to Hell!!! I think Dennis is one of the coolest people out there in this world because he don't care what people think he will do what he wants, when he wants and don't give a damn what people think and I think people like are very cool. I LOVE YOU DENNIS!!!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: The book was about all the changes that rodman been through. Review: I thing the book was good theres a lot of thing that I did not know about Rodman tell I read the book. I thing more people should read this book so they can understand Rodman more.
Rating: Summary: Very honest Dennis Rodman Review: Dennis Rodman is a very honest man. He tell us the truth about the league, the naked truth about the league. He talks about 2 biggest problem in the NBA boldly: drugs and women. He addresses problems about NBA new rising stars compared with the old days. The part about the SPURS in 94-95 season is great. The book also provides some answer to why Dennis is so different in the league. Inside the book we can found out he had been through many tough days, from his days as a black college basketball player to a player in the league, which reveal why he created his unique image both on and off the basketball court today.
Rating: Summary: Cry me a river! Review: I like Dennis Rodman the basketball player, but not the author. I borrowed the book, thank goodness for that foresite. I enjoyed about a third of the book. Then I noticed that he was continually repeating himself. repeating himself. And when he did - it sounded like whinning. I took this as long as possible. After fighting my way past the middle of the book I gave up. I couldn't take it any more. I had to quit. Sorry, Dennis. Yes, your a great basketball player, but get someone else to help you write. That book could have saved a lot of paper, if it had been half as long.
Rating: Summary: The Worm has an acid tongue! Review: Dennis says it all in this book. He doesn't only lambast NBA pretenders, he reveals everything a fan should want to know about the greatest rebounder in the game -- with the (bleep) chapter on Madonna of course. If you're an ambiguous Rodman fan, read this book
Rating: Summary: Rodman . . . a human being Review: You can read this book from several points of view.
- If you love basketball (as I do) you can learn and enjoy at the same time just reading it.
- If you want to understand how the life works,
Rodman can teach you. In many ways the things that happened to him, are the same stuff that everybody gets in life.
Individual Success, Team success, love, frustration, crazy stuff, etc. The only thing that I don't like about the book, is that SOMETIMES Rodman believes that he is the focus on everything. But that only shows the fact : Rodman is a human being.
I like how Rodman plays and the respect that he has about himself.
By the way, I don't have the american way of live, because I don't live in USA. So this can give you a different perspective for my understanding about the book.
So, let the man live his own life
