Summary: Not just for Race Fans
Review: I bought this book as a gift and happened to start glancing through it and couldn't stop! The pictures are great and this is a book about remarkable women who happen to be involved in racing. This is not just for race fans, this book is for anyone who loves to read about remarkable and interesting people. These are wonderfully written profiles and the author lets the women tell the story.

Summary: nascar women
Review: I don't have interest in NASCAR but my husband does so I bought this book. It's great and tells us the feminine side of the story.. WOW

Summary: Behind the scenes - A great overview!
Review: I've been a NASCAR fan for years and know there are many other women like me who will enjoy reading this book about the important roles women now play in the racing world. And, not just as driver's wives. However, the insight into the lifestyles of those married to drivers is fascinating. From Katie Kenseth to Stevie Waltrip the old guard and the new "young guns" of the sport are all represented. The family photos included are a great punctuation in each of the stories of these women who really opened up to the author about intimate family details. If your're already a racing fan you are definitely gonna love it, and if you aren't, you will be after reading this book. It's not just about the guys anymore - even at NASCAR!

Summary: Poor Writting
Review: The content is poor, and the writting is amature at best. So even though the writter understands the sport, it isnt presented very well. I was very dissopointed, yet one more poor attempt at taking a great subject, and killing it with poor writting. I would not recomend this book.

Summary: Not just for Race Fans
Review: This author definitely has a heart. Of all the books out there, Ms. Wood's book captures the essence of the women of America's number one spectator sport. I especially enjoyed reading the exerpt on Mrs. Kenseth. I am happy to see a down-to-earth couple lead NASCAR in 2004. The pictures are also nice. Sometimes we don't get to see the women behind the drivers on television. It seems as if they only select a certain group of people. This truly is a wide-scope representation of women in this sport. For any young woman looking for a career in NASCAR, this is a must read!!! If you offered six stars, I would definitely rate the book even higher. If you like NASCAR, read this book!!!!!!

Summary: Simply wonderful
Review: This is one of the best books on content I have ever read, Denise really captures the life of these woman on every page. One of the things the author left out is, she was and is married to a winston cup crew chief, which really gives her the inside on the life. You can really tell, MS. Wood put her heart and soul into writting this book, and it being her first one of many to come, should be very proud of her acomplishment, she is a true tallent and gift to writting, I am proud for her, and of her. But I am a little bias, because I love her.
