Rating: Summary: "THIS BOOK IS WHAT WE NEEDED" Review: My wife and I are two complete opposites when it comes to our bodies. I have always been the one who's had trouble putting on weight. I guess my metabolism just runs too fast. My wife has always been heavier than she wanted. I've tried eating and eating and extra protein powders and she's tried Slimfast and anything else and yet we've never found anything that worked. Not too long ago at a bookstore we saw Bodybuilding 101 and decided to get it. The book has a special section on how to train and eat for your body type and it's very different from the other books we've read. THIS ONE WORKS! We've been following the two programs (one for me and one for her) and my wife has lost pounds and inches and she looks and feels like a new person. I've gained weight but not fat. My body has more size and strength and is filling out in all the places where I've wanted it to. Bodybuilding 101 works. It's working great for us. You'll be very happy you bought this book.

Rating: Summary: Dr. Wolff is the man !!! Review: Read my other reviews of Dr. Wolff's books because I have read several of his books and I am proud to have them in my collection. Truthfully, they are all I need since they cover everything you need to know! My advice - start with this book to get your foundation of knowledge. Whether you are new or an old salt - these books can teach you. Humble yourself and start from scratch...you may surprise yourself! Once your done this book, go get these 2 books by Dr. Wolff - Book of Great Workouts and Bodybuilding 201. These books give you tons of examples of various workouts you can do to take yourself to the next level. He also includes the important information needed but often ignored - such as proper diet, technique, attitude. My game plan for you- buy the 3 books I mentioned(and any others Dr. Wolff has written!!), read this book first and start working out once your done it. While your building your body over the next 6 months to a year, spend the time wisely by reading his other books and crafting your gameplan further. Don't rush into it. Just build your base slowly and after the proper amount of time has passed, try the next level of techniques. Robert Wolff gives you proven and time tested material, coupled with his own personal experience. He goes over proper diet, proper technique and methodology to get you started off on the right foot. All of us are different and what works in the magazine interviews of the Pro bodybuilders probably will not work for you. Did I mention that the author really will answer your e-mail questions!! Yes, I have had actually direct communication with him. He answered my questions and was more than happy to help!!! Forget Atkins, South Beach, and all the other hype out there. Read and learn from Dr. Wolff.
Rating: Summary: "In A Class All His Own" Review: Some years ago, I had a few questions about training and diet and decided to write to a few writers at the top fitness magazines. I had just joined a gym, didn't know what to do and was at least 60 pounds overweight. Of all the letters I wrote, no one answered except Robert Wolff. He took the time to not only give me great exercise and diet suggestions, but he gave me something that turned out to be more valuable. He told me how to use my mind to motivate myself in and out of the gym and how to break the self-destruct cycle I was living in year after year which was making me lazier, fatter and feeling like crap. At that time in my life, I needed help and as a regular reader of these magazines, it was very frustrating to think that all they cared about was selling the next issue and wouldn't even take the time to answer people's questions. The same people who keep these magazines in business! Robert Wolff never forgot where he came from and I believe that's why he took the time to write a letter to me, someone he didn't know, and give me help. I remember those kinds of things and after that, I became one of his biggest fans. His book is tops and it gives great advice for anyone looking for answers that work extremely well. This guy is no bullcrap and his message is believable because it works. Just do what he says and you will get great results. Sets and reps and all that stuff can get really boring fast. The thing I like about the book is that as you're reading it, it's like you've known him for years and he's one of your friends talking to you. As Lee Haney says on the back of this book "Robert Wolff is in a class all his own." Right on Lee. Great job Robert! I'm looking forward to the next one. Thanks for taking the time a few years ago to help me change my thinking, my body and my life.

Rating: Summary: Just like all the others Review: This book is ok. It doesnt get real indepth on nutrition. It repeats itself a lot. My opinion, the body for life book by bill phillips is much better. My wife and I have been working out for years and were stuck. Following the body for life program we lost a total of about 85lbs between the both of following the body for life program in about 8 months. We are much more define than we were ever before.
Rating: Summary: EXTREMELY EXCELLENT!!! Review: This book is too cool. No BS and the guy knows A LOT about working out. Finally found out how to work out RIGHT! Worth the cash.
Rating: Summary: "THE BEST BOOK OF ITS KIND...PERIOD!!!" Review: This book rocks! Never have I found a book that explains what I have wanted to know about working out and what to eat so completely and very easy to understand. The book I've been looking for is one that would show a beginner how they shuld train, when they should train, what they should eat, when they should eat it, how to develop my own routines, how and when to know when I'm ready to go to the next stages of training (intermediate and advanced), how to train as an intermediate and advanced, lots of different workouts and exercises. This is the book that answers all those questions and much more. The one thing I never thought much about until I read this book was how important mental training was to my success. The book is filled with motivation tips that really caused me to take a good hard look at how I've held myself back all these years from thinking the wrong way about working out and my body. As Robert Wolff, Ph.D. says, "You change your thinking and you change your life" and he shows you how to change your thinking to get the results you want. This book goes way beyond sets and reps and for me it rocks.
