Summary: Mr. Motivation!!!"
Review: "The more you think about what you don't have, the more you create what you don't want" so says Dr. Robert Wolff on page 105 of the book and when I first read that, I didn't really understand what he meant and how that applied to fitness. Then his explanation turned on the light when he talked about how to give your mind the commands it needs to change your body such as..."It's like a loyal servant who will help you get anything in life, if only you'll give it the right commands (think the right thoughts). Now, this servant doesn't question whether what you tell it is right or wrong. It simply accepts what you believe is true and then gives you the new habits, actions, attitudes, and beliefs that match perfectly to the commands you've been giving it (commands you probably never knew you were giving it). The more you think about what you don't have, the more you create the very same condition in your life you've been trying so hard to avoid."

For so long all I've been thinking about is what I don't have...flatter stomach, firmer legs and arms and losing weight and after Dr. Wolff explained it to me, I've kept my mind on just the things I want instead of things I don't want or am trying to get rid of. Amazing!

By using Dr. Wolff's tips and changing how I think, I've changed my body so fast it's even hard for me to believe. No other fitness/health author I've read has figured out this mental/physical thing like Dr. Wolff. His book is a life changer!!!

Summary: "Excellent But Needs..."
Review: ...Bigger pictures. I don't know what the publisher was thinking, but come on guys, get a clue...people who buy these book want to see bigger pictures, especially those that show the exercise variations that Robert Wolff talks so much about. This book is a just a great book for the beginner and intermediate. No question about it. I've tried many of the workouts and have been experiencing superb results. Wolff talks about how to develop your own routines for "your body" and actually gives simple ways to do it. Duh...why is the simple way (which is usually the best way)so overlooked by so many? One request: I'd like to have this guy write a book of great routines since he's worked with/interviewed so many great bodybuilders and fitness people (i.e. Schwarzenegger, Haney, McLish, Everson, Reeves, Ferrigno, etc.)A lot of knowledge for not a whole lot of money. Without hesitation, I'd say get it.

Summary: Bodybuilding 101 Should Be Retitled "Lifechanging 101"
Review: A few months ago, I would've been the first person to tell you that you're crazy if you think a fitness book could change your life, but not anymore. I've religiously followed everything this guy says in the book and my life has done a complete 180. You know why I like this book? Because Wolff has no agenda other than to give you great advice and teach you how to use your mind to change your body quicker than you ever imagined. As Joe Weider says in his foreword to the book, "A good writer leaves a good impression in the reader's mind; a great writer changes people's lives. Robert Wolff is such a writer." Well said.

Summary: A Fine Book
Review: Both my husband and I are retired living in Florida. We try to stay quite active and we enjoy golf, walking and tennis, but felt like we needed to do more. We picked up a copy of "Bodybuilding 101" by Robert Wolff, Ph.D. and have greatly enjoyed and benefitted from his expertise.

We particularly like the fact that any of the tips, exercises, workouts and advice he gives can be used by anyone regardless of age and experience. His writing style is very motivating and friendly and not like some books we've read that assumes you know everything they are talking about. Dr. Wolff explains things very clearly and we've enjoyed excellent results from using this book. We'll be telling others about it I'm sure. Thank you.

Review: Bought the book. Followed the directions. Getting great results. End of story.

Summary: concise, well-written and believable
Review: By profession, I'm a college instructor who looks at all things with a critical -- sometimes too critical -- eye.

Upon review, purchase and implementation of Dr. Robert Wolff's Bodybuilding 101 book, I'm very pleased with the results thus far. His methods in this book, while not fadish or ground-breaking (with the exceptions of the exercise nuances and mental training), do work extremely well.

Perhaps a book like this is what the fitness and bodybuilding world needs; a good dose of reality and not hype.

I greatly enjoy his straight-forward style that speaks to me the reader as someone he has known for a long time. He believes in his work and it shows from preface to ending.

If I may, I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for straight-forward answers for those wanting to shape their body and achieve optimal health.

Thank you.

Summary: This book rocks!!!
Review: Check it out. I'm in the store the other day killing time and jumping off the shelf is this book with a cover shot of some buff dude I've never seen with a fabulous babe. I page through it and 45 minutes later, I'm still reading it. Grabbed my short attention span, so threw the gal some cash and took it home. Next day I tried the exercises and workout and it's WAY BIG! Get the book NOW and see for yourself.

Summary: More than I expected
Review: Every time I buy a bodybuilding or fitness book I get disappointed. Most of them either give too little information or too much about one thing. My girlfriend bought Bodybuilding 101 for me for a birthday present and to be honest, I was going to return it until I started reading it.

Wolff doesn't give anything earth shaking or revolutionary here, but he does give some really good information on training, routines, workouts, shows you ways to get more from exercises and just good plain common sense knowledge about training that so many people seemed to have forgotten.

For what it is, a book for beginners and intermediates, Bodybuilding 101 does the job and I'm happy to say it's much more than I expected.
