Rating: Summary: WINDSURFING Review: Excellent book for beginners and intermediate windsurfers. Lots of colorful pictures, Techniques explained in plain English. The author took his time to explain these in detail. Long and short boards, also more advanced techniques are discussed. If you are just getting started, this is a great book for you.
Rating: Summary: Great windsurfing manual Review: Great windsurfing manual for beginners and intermediate level. Windsurfing fundamentals (uphauling, self-rescue, correct stance, non-planning tack and jibe, steering ...) explained very well with lots of text, pictures and fotoes. Solutions for common problems and useful tips accompanied each subject. Advanced techniques (planning, harness use, beach starting, straps, water starting, planning jibe) explained as well but in less details and with more fotoes than text. If you want comprehensive manual for long and short board base skills - this book is an excellent choice. But more advanced subjects such as freestyle tricks, fine equipment tuning, jibing tips is not discussed.
Rating: Summary: Excellent. Review: I just started windsurfing this year. I have this book, and the book by Ken Winner. I'd recommed this hands down. It is up-to-date, covering the new short & wide boards; it is extremely helpful, with a lot of detailed text and photographs; and it is beautifully done. Highly recommended.
