Summary: Awesome Book
Review: This book is really cool. Tony talks all about his life from when he was a little kid to now. He talks about what skating was like back in the 70s and 80s. I recommend this book for any skater, or maybe some1 who doesn't skate but is interested in it

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book is the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summary: Makes a boy want to read!
Review: I am 'Squigman's' mother. Squigman is 9 years old and has been interested in extreme sports ever since he was a baby. He told me that he wanted one thing for Christmas, and that was Tony Hawk's book. Other Christmas's his list of 'I wants' was long and harsh . . .Playstations, electric jeeps, action figures, but this year . . .he wants . . .a book! Imagine that, the boy wants to read an actual 'chapter' book. I have every confidence that he will read it, cover to cover because for the last several years skateboarding magazines is all the child will read. Harry Potter? Who's that? My son has a real flesh and blood hero and his name is Tony Hawk.

Summary: Tony hawk
Review: This book is a great biography. This book is good for all people, not just skaters, who want to learn about the life of a skate boarder. This book is also good for writing reports about people because it talks about Hawk's childhood. And we all know that's the part most teachers always complain about you not having enough information in. But this is a must buy especially for skaters.

Summary: The skateboard lifestyle
Review: The book Hawk Occupation: Skateboarder gives a very in-depth look at the life of the greatest skateboarder to ever live, Tony Hawk.If I had to describe Tony's childhood in one word, I would use Devilchild. He threw toy cars, and terrorized his babysitter so much she quit. However, he seemed to outgrow his crazy habits when his older brother gave him a skateboard. No matter how hard he was on anyone else, he was twice as hard on himself, so he became very good very fast. Throughout highschool he managed to keep up his grades and maintain the occupation of professional skateboarder, and when he was sixteen he bought his first house. The book Hawk Occupation: Skateboarder gives the reader an inside look at the lifestyle behind the legend of skateboarding, and tells everything about him from his first sexual experience up to the most amazing skateboarding feat ever accomplished: The 900.

Summary: REALLY GOOD!
Review: This is a phat book. Tony Hawk is a awsome Sk8eR. This tells about his life, and who he became a Sk8eR. I love Tony Hawk, and before I was wondering if he would make a book. This is such a good book. Make sure you get it, even if you aren't a Sk8eR.

Summary: Excellent retrospective on a career that no one knew about..
Review: This book, for the uninitiated, is about the scrawny kid from So Cal who made a living doing what he loved to do: skate. The tale of his journey throughout the roller coaster of "alternative" sports popularity from the mid '70s to the present flows well and has a quick pace. That doesn't mean that the book skims over anything. The book lists a veritable Who's Who of skating. Plus, it has three appendixes for things like a list of Skate Tricks and an excerpt from his journal during a promotional tour. The book also showed that while skating is an individual experience, he would not have thrived without a tremendous family support structure. Not to mention that the book is quite humorous, albeit mostly frat-house based antics (Part of the fraternal skating life). This book is not really intended for the hard-core skater, but for anybody who's interested in skating in general or finding out what it was like to pursue a way of life that most people regard as for children.

Summary: A book for anyone!
Review: I am a person who has never been on a skateboard. But this book surprised me. I was going through a couple of books in the library that they were selling, and I bought. First, I thought I was giving it to my friend (who loves skateboards), but first I read it. It was so good that I couldn't put the book down until I finished it. It is a book that has humor, a dab of drama, and everything else you can think of. It is a great book (and I didn't give it to my friend because it is too good to waste, and I bought it for only $1.00). Even if you hate skateboarding, you should read this book. It teaches you about "life." I thought it was good, and if you read it, I bet you would too. Tony Hawk has made a great autobiography, and I hope you would make a great choice. Buy this book! Thanks for reading my review!

Summary: SOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOD
Review: Im 28 and have been skateboarding since 1983 and I have to be honest, I havent even read it yet , or purchased it for that matter .But I have read sooooo many reviews and excerpts from it that I can already say "ITS GREAT".If you want to know alittle piece of history on skateboarding , youll find it here. Parents should read this book , it may help them to understand there childrens devotion to a un team related sport. After reading all the reviews and segments from this book , I feel like you do when you are watching a TV show and the suspense is building and all of the sudden you realize the hour is up and the screen reads "to be continued". I will buy this book and not only read it , but I will read it to my children .
