Rating: Summary: "Straight forward advice from one golf's all time greats" Review: "Ray Floyd cuts right to the heart of how to improve your golf game.A great read.Filled with insights on the mental side of the game, course management, club selection ect.You can't get more intense than Ray Floyd"
Rating: Summary: A "Must Read" For Improving Your Game Review: Along with Ben Hogan's 5 Lessons and Dave Pelz' Short Game Bible, this is probably the best instructional book on golf I have ever read. And while those other two concentrate on the swing mechanics of different parts of the game (the full swing and the short game), this one is all about strategy and what you should be thinking about on the golf course. Very thought provoking, I will keep it by my bedside stand for repeated reading for the forseeable future. I will give away several copies to golfing buddies this Christmas...
Rating: Summary: Outstanding for strategy and course management Review: Highly recommended for learning to relax on the course. How to control your disposition and approach to the game. How to change your attitude and have more success and fun playing the game.
Rating: Summary: Praise From a Duffer Review: I am a high, high handicaper. Doubtless if I read less and practiced more I would be better, but I have a day job. Ray Floyd's book is a pleasure. He gives simple clear suggestions. So simple that while I was out golfing I actually remembered his advice and improved my score. Other books give you technical advice in abundance, but he gives you a sense of joy and great advice on mental toughness. Many books tell you where to put your hands and where to plant your feet. This book fills in the gap that many books overlook. How to maximize the abilities you have for the day and how to enjoy the game when things go off line. It's a little book, but so is Hogan's "Five Lessons." They belong next one another on anyone's bookshelf. If for no other reason for the sake of balance, which as we know in golf is very important.

Rating: Summary: If you're really serious about your game, here you go!! Review: I can't think of how lucky we are that Mr. Floyd is willing to share with us his wisdom, experiences and knowledge in golf, which are exactly what we need to play the game well.Life is too short to try to figure out everything, especially golf, by yourself. Before it's too late, read it and try it out so that you can enjoy the game a lot more.
Rating: Summary: I've Scored Using Ray's Element. Review: I first learned about Ray Floyd from a Kirin Beer golf pamphlet I found at my local sushi bar. I've carried this pamphlet over the years in my bag; I know I can always look up the right tip before that critical shot. This book is great, the only thing missing is photos of beautiful Japanese women holding glasses of Ichiban Kirin beer (to look at when I'm not playing well). Ray is the greatest, buy his book.
Rating: Summary: For those who want to beat the golf course Review: I have always found the game of golf fascinating and I have always wanted to master it. This book helps me a lot in my attempt to do so. It is difficult for us, weekend golfers, to know everything there is in golf, every golf course you play and to perfect every swing we make by devoting time to practise. And it is when this book comes in. It tells you how to manage the course, when to take risk and when not to and it is very true that most of us are not always playing in our best physical condition. I will probably re-read it before every round of golf I am going to play.
Rating: Summary: whow! Review: I was struggeling for about half a year with my stroke, my putting an despecially my driving. I got this book in canada and read it in one evening. The next round I played I hit nearly every shot perfectly (at least for my abilities). There are a few essentials in this book, that seem so wright to me, that it changed my whole play (especially not having any "swingthoughts" during play). Thank You Ray!
Rating: Summary: Teaches how to think during a round of golf Review: If you are someone who tries to smoke the driver down the middle on every tee, you NEED this book. Excellent advice on course management and mental/emotional control. Applying his ideas has increased my confidence on the course significantly and lowered my scores by about 3 strokes. It's made golf more fun. An easy read. Recommended.
