Rating: Summary: A gorgeous celebration of baseball's temples Review: My dad and I are huge fans of books about baseball parks, their histories, dimensions, behind-the-scenes, etc. Rosen's Blue Skies, Green Fields is an absolutely stunning book that really gives an overview of the evolution of baseball parks, up to some of the newest stadiums in MLB.It has gorgeous photography (many pics I've never seen) and although the text is minimal, it is meaningful. While I have yet to see the comprehensive, "end-all" of ballpark books, this is a great addition to any baseball fan's bookshelf.

Rating: Summary: Mediocre information, but great photographs Review: There are many ballpark books which provide more and better information about ballparks. If you are going to buy this book, it should be for the stunning photographs of modern ballparks, the best I have ever seen published.

Rating: Summary: Beautiful, But Incomplete Picture Book Review: This book is written by a man who loves the subject. The pictures in this book are big and interesting. This is the first book on this subject that I've read that shows the outside shots of the stadium. However, this book does not get the five star rating because it seldom goes into great depth into any stadium. Even Yankee Stadium and Fenway Park get only six pages each. Also, the pictures in this book were often flawed, with the author often using a painting, a very blurred picture, or an unusual camera angle. You don't get to see little things such as the Crosley incline or the Brooklyn Abe Stark sign. Furthermore, the book does not cover the newest stadiums in Pittsburgh or Milwaukee and leaves out some of the older classisc such as Braves Field, Griffith, and Baker and omits transitional stadiums such as Seals, Exhibition, and Colt. I'm thankful for what is in the book but I'm also a big fan of baseball stadium history. I am also aware of what is not in the book, which is a considerable amount.
Rating: Summary: Great Book,Loved It ! Review: This is a must buy for every baseball fan. This book has kept me captivated so far for hours reviewing each and every stadium. Great photo shots, great tidbits of info from Major Leaguers re their favorite parks and why. Kudos to Ira Rosen for a work of art to a Sports Fan.
