Review: I sometimes wonder who reads books of this genre. Duh, I do! But why? I enjoy developing an understanding of how things were done before technology, not because I want to traipse off into the woods and live like who knows what. Unfortunately that's the impression I came away with. Rather than an in depth study of why and how, I have the impression the McPherson's are suggesting an alternative life style. The problem is I find I'm unable to offer a better source.

Summary: A mindbending description of primitive living!!
Review: My compliments to author John McPherson on his ability to write in a manner that captured my interest on the first page and held it through to the last page. His words and explanations of primitive crafts let the reader know that he has the skill to live as primitive people did. His grammar is a little off key but that is ok because he writes like he thinks and makes it more understandable. Task well done.
