Moose, cold, and an unforgiving river, could not stop this man Don't let skeptisizm stop you. If adventure and excitement are what you're into, read this book, reject fear as he did. It is an excellent piece. For those of you who have read it, you know what I mean.
Rating: Summary: A Great Book for Outdoor Lovers Review: This book is a must read for anyone who loves the outdoors, dangerou wildnerness adventures, or canoeing. It told the story of David Curran's trip down the Allagash River. The story explains what it feels like to be completely alone in nature's wrath, hundreds of miles away from civilization. Many people don't realize what be alone truely means, and take for granted the luxuries technology has offered us. This book gives you the feeling of actually being on the trip with him. Overall, the book does carry some excitement, such when the moose nearly attacked him, but as for an action story, this isn't the book that fits that description. The entire book is mostly about his trip down the river. This is a short book, and a very good one. I reccomend this book, especially for nature lovers.
