Review: A very good overview of the sport from one of the masters. Very well written and well organized. While most of the material remains fresh, the book is looking dated as newer developments in the field (artificial scents, etc.) are not explored.

Summary: A must for the beginning elk hunter!
Review: This book is an excellent source for information on the Elk, Elk habitat and Elk hunting. Jim Zumbo is an excellent author as well as an Elk hunter. If you are going to go Elk hunting, it is well worth reading it. It has hundreds of tips on how and where elk live, eat, and sleep in different weather conditions. It covers their habits and life styles.
