Summary: Surf Fishing advice from a Premier Surf Fisherman
Review: Frank Daignault was a rod and reel commercial fisherman back in the days when the buggy he drove was home for a family of four. Although some readers may be initially disappointed when opening this book, inside it contains no-nonsense, practical advise on how to catch striped bass by means of a flyrod and reel. He doesn't portray some movie star's romantic notion of what fly fishing is, and doesn't mince words about what you should and should not do. It is not the largest piece of work nor the most elegant. However it is a must read for those who would endeavor to seek out the king of the Northeastern surf by flyrod: moron saxitalis, the Striped Bass.

Summary: 208 pages telling you to "Fish at Night".
Review: OK, I got the message, but why do I need sunglasses then? I don't recall seeing anyone in the photos wearing clear OSHA approved goggles. Some may think it's "Salty", but I didn't appreciate the tone used when constantly reminding us to fish at night or get a boat ... I get it. I also think the "debunking" certain myths was also not done written in a way that was encouraging more anglers to join us in enjoying this sport. By the way Frank, the Sod Bank near my home, fishes pretty poorly at night and exception or not, I do occasoinal hook 40" fish in broad daylight.

Summary: Tough to get through it!
Review: This book has been the hardest book to get through that I have ever read. The author's writing style is difficult to follow as he uses phrases and even sentence structure known only to himself!
I forced myself to read the book in it's entirety if only to glean some striper fishing facts from it.
