Summary: It's like having a professional guide in the boat with you.
Review: I've read plenty of books filled with somebody's fishing stories, the lessons of which never seem to fit the conditions I face when I'm on the water. And most books about fishing techniques hand me generalizations that are hard--really hard--to apply to specific situations. Mr. Rudow's book is different. It's full of great advice that you can use every time you're out on the water. Stripers hitting short? Here's the answer. Need to rig up so the bass won't strip your baits and leave you with a bare hook? Here's the answer. This is a terrific book from a guy who probably tops the fish's 10 Most Wanted List. Buy, borrow, or steal this book and use it--you won't be sorry.

Summary: Pamphlet
Review: There's some useful information in this book; but it picks on just a few unrelated subjects for discussion and is in no way a comprehensive manual. More of a pamphlet with a few useful points. If your fishing is limited to sundays; don't buy this book. The author is very scathing about people less fortunate than himself. I have a full-time job, but take my fishing seriously, while still enjoying the odd beer. But for some reason, Lenny considers me an object of derision.
