Rating: Summary: The Curiosity Factor Review: Advanced Fugitive is selling like mad because people are fascinated with starting a new life and how people are able to evade those looking for them (stalkers, loan sharks, crazies, and others who wish them harm). I wrote Advanced Fugitive because of the demand for more detailed information on world-wide evasion and starting over. The sales really took off when my predictions on Andrew Cunanan came true right down to how he would change his MO, stay on Miami Beach not far from the Versace murder scene, and would attempt to get on a boat and leave Miami Beach via the Intracoastal Waterway. I appeared on the Today Show, CNN, Extra!, AM Live, Cochran & Company, and other news outlets, and was interviewed by the Miami Herald. My next book in the Fugitive series will be released in 1998.
Rating: Summary: True to Life Review: I am a teenager and I sometimes screw up so the cops come looking for me, well I really gave them a run for their money one day, fact is they are still looking for me. I own it all to this book, it kept one more mark off my record. I recommend this and the first one to anyone and everyone. Thank you Kenn Abaygo.
Rating: Summary: Pretty Good Stuff, but not 100% perfect Review: The book offers some pretty good advice for anyone trying to 'disappear', but it's not perfect either. For example, when referencing hiding in Norway (where I live), the author points out that few people in Norway speak English. In reality, it's hard to find someone in Norway who DOESN'T speak English!
Rating: Summary: Any fool could write a better book over a long weekend Review: There are only three kinds of information in this book. And you don't need to buy this book to get them.#1: facts and ideas that are blindingly obvious and basic common sense. Anyone with a pulse either knows all these things or understands them implicitly. #2: basic outdoor and wildlife information, which is presented haphazardly and not always accurately anyway. There are many respected and credentialed authors who cover these areas superbly. Their work is usually worth paying for. #3: bathos and banality. The observation that cities are big and it's easier to go unnoticed there than in a small town. The observation that people in non-English-speaking countries tend to speak languages other than English. A picture of a deer with the caption pointing out this is a deer. After I got over being mad at myself for buying this book, my family and I laughed ourselves sick as we passed it around and took turns reading the silliest parts. I tip my hat to Mr. Abago for finding a clever way to make money without evidence of any special knowledge, skill, or talent. What a great country we live in!
