Review: Fifty Wooden Boats is an exceptional example of well-written, informative and still inspiring cataloque of fifty classical wooden boat designs. I can truly recommend it to anyone planning to build a wooden boat of his/her own. Especially here in Europe the classical plans have - to a great degree - vanished. This is a good cataloque for some of the classical designs. Hopefully we will get similar books of the wooden boats of the old continent, too!

Review: This book is exactly what it presents itself to be. The reason I rated it a 4 instead of a 5, was that I purchased it for plans for a curragh (currach), but no acceptable plans were included, although it came up on a search for currachs.

Review: This is a great book for anyone wanting to build a wooden boat. You can go over 40 different designs and then purchase the plans for the one you wish to build.
