Review: If you like to read I would recommend Paddle-To-the-Sea. It is one of the best books that I have ever read. It is a really exciting book. It has lots of adventures in it. The best parts about the book are the beginning, the middle, and the end. It has lots of great pictures in the book. But the best part is when he goes over Niagra Falls. It takes you where the book is. It makes you feel sad, mad, and even glad. If you can feel all those things in this book, you would love this book. It is really good I'm telling you. If you want to know more then get this great amazing book.

Summary: Reading this great book made me happy.
Review: If you want to read a good book, Paddle-to-the-Sea would be the best one. It's got loads of excitement. The story is about a little wooden Indian figure in a canoe that travels through the 5 Great Lakes. The Indian boy who carved him wanted him to go to the sea. To find out if he really gets to the sea or not get this great book that I think you would love.

Summary: A book that lives in one's memory
Review: Like another of your reviewers, it has been fifty years since I was given this book as a gift. I'm purchasing it now as a gift for my granddaughter. The story has remained with me all these years as a tale of dreams fulfilled and goals reached. Add to this a sensitive understanding of the wish to see what lies beyond the next horizon and you have a story bound to appeal to any child. Perhaps it will help my granddaughter understand somehting of what motivates her Grandma to travel the world as much as she can and to want always to learn just a little bit more. And it is my fondest wish that it will encourage in her a bit of that same curiosity and enthusiasm. It is a lovely book. Besides all of the above it taught me some geography - since I lived nowhere near the area it told about and followed Paddle's travels on the illustrations - and something of a way of life unfamiliar to me.

Summary: A Timeless Classic for Children of All Ages
Review: My sister & I, both in our 40s, read this book as children and we still talk about it with such fond memories of its images and story. GIVE THIS BOOK TO A CHILD! It will last forever. I am so glad to have found it again that I am buying it for my sister for her 44th Christmas present.

Summary: Great book to share with young readers.
Review: One of my best memories is reading this book with my daughter. Since we canoe alot, she remembers the book from years' past. Now we are now sending a copy to a friend, so that he can share it with his 6-year-old granddaughter.

Summary: Age of enrichment
Review: Paddle to the Sea cannot be read once, only first. Nor can it be read last, but over and over again from age 4 to 104+, each time with contextual reinforcement from real-life experience. With time it gains a patina and a 4th dimension.

Along with Seabird, it was from its first printing a classic exploratory book for kids, rich in textual, painted, and technical images. It has old-world values in a new-world setting. I have shared it with my son, as will he with his. A copy sails with my ketch and me.

Summary: Home Library Essential
Review: Paddle to the Sea is a must have for anyone, young and old alike, who has a relationship with the Great Lakes. It is a great teacher for children learning about the Great Lakes, they will actually remember them after a reading.

It is a collector's item for anyone who has lived on or near the Great Lakes, or holds memories of those Lakes.

Summary: I think that Paddle to the Sea is a very good book!
Review: Paddle to the sea is one of the best booksI have read this year.I think that is it interesting how a wooden figure goes to all of the Great Lakes. Paddle meet a lot of people in the book that helped him on his journey to the sea. I think that the best person that helped Paddle on his journey was Bill. I did not like chapter 19 because the forest fire. I liked this book so much, that I wish that I could read it ever year!
