Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Sound Advice Sans Snobbery
Review: Rich is the kind of guy you wish your dad was when you were a kid trying to figure out the trout fishing game. He loves fishing and he knows the game thoroughly. Straight forward truths such as using large flies to catch large trout are explained succinctly. Never mind those snob books with titles such as how to catch large trout on tiny flies and whittled down 1/2 pound tippet, Rich sticks to methods that yield the highest probability of luring large trout to strike an artificial fly and then actually landing them. This book is great. Learn from a master to ambush trophy trout from small streams to giant rivers. I could not find a smidgen of bad advice in the book. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way, by trial and error. Gain 20 years of knowledge and start catching large trout from the outset of your fly fishing experience.
